Does it include anything I can do now to prepare for PGCE in advance?

Yes, you can get started preparing for PGCE over the summer, so that eve before the first official drops in September, you still feel like you're getting your money's worth.

How is this different to the PGCE program?

The ECT Vault is more tailored towards empowering you to teach Key stage four. You are no longer so limited by just having to do what your mentor wants this year. Now you can branch out and start teaching year 10 or 11 with proficiency from early on.

Why is this better than just joining Lit Drive?

Lit Drive is pretty darn cool, and if you're not a member, it is a great idea to check it out. It's huge. I guess it's like TK MAX and English Teacher CPD is more like Boots. It's a bit more clearly organised, and a bit more useful when you're in a pinch.

How do I know this is actually going to make my job easier?

Have a look at the resources or the app before you subscribe if you're worried. The app will give you reassurance that either you're on the right path and what your school is doing is great, or it will give you the reassurance that you have resources and support with you all the time. You'll be able to support your team instead of it always being the other way around.

What if I get stuck in a bad placement, will this help me with that?

English Teacher CPD is completely individual. We aren't tied to a university or learning trust. We can give coaching and impartial advice, but can't actually step in and change a placement or job role for you. Those big decisions will still be in your hands.
